On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Zakho launched its First International Scientific Conference entitled “Good Governance and Development”. The conference was conducted in the presence of Dr. Amanj Saeed, Adviser of the Higher Education Minister, Ms. Zhala Saeed, Director-General of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, President of the University of Zakho. Dr. Dawood S. Atrushi, President of the University of Duhok, Mr. Guhdar Shekho, Head of the Independent Administration of Zakho, and Mr. Ali Awni, Administrator of the Branch 8 of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), in addition to several officials, prominent figures, academic staff, and students.

At the beginning of the conference, numerous speeches were delivered by Dr. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz, Dr. Range M. Nori, and Dr. Samir F. Niama. This was followed by a panel moderated by Dr. Reber Fatah, and discussed by Mr. Guhdar Shekho, Dr. Ameen F. Yousif, and Dr. Haval S. Ismael. Moreover, an exhibition of old and new international currencies was opened.

Noteworthy, the conference will last for two days, and 32 pieces of research will be presented throughout the event.
